I have always believed that education is one of the most powerful tools we have to change lives. It is a force that uplifts individuals, strengthens communities, and creates a lasting impact. But for too many children, especially girls in rural parts of Pakistan, access to quality education remains a distant dream.
That is why, on October 15th, 2022, I did something that terrified me. I stepped off the ArcelorMittal Orbit in Stratford, abseiling 80 metres down one of London’s most iconic structures. It was not just about the adrenaline rush, although there was plenty of that. It was about pushing myself beyond my comfort zone to support a cause that matters deeply to me.
Why I Took the Leap
In recent years, we have seen heartbreaking setbacks when it comes to girls’ education in certain parts of the world. At Quest for Education, we are working to ensure that girls and children from underprivileged backgrounds in Pakistan receive the same standard of education as children anywhere else. We are not just committed to providing access. We want the education to be high-quality and truly transformational.
We also believe in creating opportunities for young women beyond the classroom. That means ensuring that they find meaningful employment in the educational institutions we support. This cycle, where education leads to employment, has the power to uplift entire communities.
Facing My Fear for a Bigger Purpose
I will not lie. I have a strong fear of heights. Stepping off that platform was not easy. The moment I leaned back over the edge, every instinct screamed at me to hold on. But I kept reminding myself that this was nothing compared to the challenges these children face every day.
That thought kept me moving. Every metre I descended was a step towards raising awareness and funds to help children and young women gain the education they deserve.
You Can Still Be Part of This!
I took on this challenge, but the real impact comes from people like you, those who believe in the power of education and want to be part of something bigger. Every donation goes directly to Quest for Education, ensuring that children in rural Pakistan have access to books, teachers, classrooms, and the future they deserve.

Your generosity can change lives. If you cannot donate, you can still help by sharing this page with your friends, family, and on social media. Every share helps spread the message and brings us closer to giving these children a brighter future.
Thank you for your support. Together, we can break barriers and build opportunities. One step, one donation, and in my case, one terrifying abseil at a time.
