Expanding educational opportunities
Banjosa Valley Public School
Nestled in the picturesque landscape of Banjosa, approximately 120 km from Islamabad, Banjosa Valley Public School stands as a testament to the Kashmir Education Foundation’s unwavering commitment to education. Established on 24th March 2009, this institution was founded with a vision to provide quality education to children from underprivileged and marginalised communities, ensuring they have access to the same opportunities as their peers in urban centres.
Banjosa Valley Public School is the third school established by KEF in Pakistan, continuing its mission to bridge the educational gap for rural children. The school takes its name from the famous Banjosa Lake, a serene and inspiring backdrop for young minds to flourish. Designed to accommodate students up to the tenth grade, the school offers modern educational and recreational facilities, creating an environment where learning is both engaging and effective.

A defining feature of the school is its commitment to gender inclusivity. In line with KEF policy, 51% of student places are reserved for girls, empowering young women to gain an education that might otherwise be out of reach. Many students travel long distances over difficult terrain to attend, highlighting the school’s vital role in providing access to education in this remote region.
The teaching faculty at Banjosa Valley Public School has been meticulously trained at the KEF Institute of Teacher Education in Basali, ensuring that every student benefits from a world-class education rooted in interactive learning methodologies. This approach moves beyond rote memorisation, fostering critical thinking, creativity, and a deeper understanding of subjects.
Banjosa Valley Public School is more than an educational institution—it is a beacon of hope for the children of this rural community. Through the dedication of KEF and the generosity of supporters, the school continues to provide a secure, stimulating, and inspiring environment where students can unlock their full potential.
